demon cats the musical
Mar. 4th, 2013 03:33 pmLast night I had a dream that there was a demon trapped behind the microwave in my family's house. Haha.
And they didn't really cause much trouble or bad luck, they were just kind of a nuisance causing a ruckus in the kitchen as it tried freeing itself. Eventually one of us decided to wise up and move the microwave only an inch out and voila the demon was able to jump on out of there.
When they were free, though, we saw that the demon looked exactly like our cat Romeo.
I sat there on the firewood box holding a cat that might have been a demon and petting it too affectionately and talking to it explaining our predicament as though it was the weather. I was woken up before I could find out which cat was not a cat!
It's kind of funny because what I immediately thought of was this one scraggly black cat that roams around the neighborhood sometimes. Not that I think he's a demon ahaha just that he's really unfriendly and paranoid-looking. My cats will sometimes sit on the window sill facing the driveway, and when they are acting all skittish and start hissing you know it's because that particular cat is sitting there. Taunting them, maybe. But maybe they are just nervous territorial dweebs. Likely the latter.
(But my cats will also sometimes jerk their head to an empty spot of the room suddenly, and I like to pretend they are looking at ghosts when they are probably just looking at dust or passing car's lights on the wall that I didn't notice. So I mean there's that ahaha.)
One time a few years ago we came home from school, all six of us fumbling and unpresent and haphazardly filing into the house. And one of us, I think Jacinda or David, saw a black cat outside. Thinking it was one of ours, they let him inside of course. But as soon as he entered we all froze. And he froze. And we looked at him, crouched down and eyes-wide looking up at us, looking at him looking at us and we noticed he was definitely nooot our cat ahaha. And it probably took nine seconds total but if felt like forever while we all just stared, and he stared, not wanting to move, before we all broke out in confused exclamations and somebody shooed him back out.
So idk that's what I thought of today ahahah demon cats and that, if there are any, this one in my neighborhood is definitely one of them
